Communism is a Mistake

Summary/Abstract: Drawing on a psychoanalytically overwritten version of Derrida’s notion of iterability, this article explores how the revival and repetition, in 2013, of Bulgarian anti-communism of the 1990s led to dramatic ruptures in the semantic coordinates of this anti-communism. A radical break with the macabre anti-communism of the 1990s was effected, paradoxically, in and through anti-communist intellectual activity itself. This, in turn, results in the opening up of fantastic opportunities for thinking and practicing communist politics.
