Summary/Abstract: The paper is focused on two well-established in theory and practice approaches in management science and psychology of organization – behaviourism and humanistic approach. The author in her empirical study tries to find an answer to scientific problems presented in this elaboration. The general questions are: which of the discussed approaches are more popular in managerial practice and which of analyzed factors (personal or organizational) determine the preferences of superiors. In conclusion the author finds that work environment has a high degree of differentiation in terms of human resources management.
