Summary/Abstract: This experiment was designed to test the effects of the positive autopresentative behaviors, both of competent and moral nature. Participants being tested impersonated fair versus sincere versus energetic versus tenacious ones. The results confirmed the hypotheses about adaptation changes in actors’ specific self-evaluations towards auto-presentation. This effect was visible regardless of role’s competent or moral character and irrespective of actor’s gender. In the case of performing an energetic person, an increase of general self-esteem was revealed. The gained knowledge shows that the effects of the autopresentative behaviours may be part of the process of providing the individual’s professional potential with attributes necessary for the performance of current and future tasks, and thus to contribute to the achievement of both; the company’s and the individual’s objectives.
