Does transformational leadership meet expectations of employees?

Summary/Abstract: The article presents selected leadership theories and models, together with the research findings of the effective people management factors. It also discusses complex, multifaceted character of contemporary leadership, necessity to consider various leadership aspects, necessary psychosocial and even ethical competences, as well as psychological predispositions. Online research conducted on 495 office employees of public administration in Lower Silesia confirms the accuracy of the transformational model. The data collected during the research enables to undertake practical steps in order to improve the quality of contemporary leadership in an organization.
