Management control of using European Union funding sources in the Voivodeship Police Headquaters in Szczecin

Summary/Abstract: Purpose - The aim of this study is to determine the directions of implementation and execution of assumptions of managerial control in range of European funds' absorption by the authorities of general government sector which are responsible for public security on the example of the Voivodeship Police Headquaters in Szczecin. Design/Methodology/approach — Analysis of legal acts and internal materials of Police, inductive and deductive reasoning. Findings — Access to European funds has to be supported with monitoring and evaluation on implementation, which is possible thanks to using management control techniques. Originality/value - Pointing management control techniques which may be used to control the usage of European funds
