An attempt of structural modelling of the quality of life of stuttering people as a latent construct, based on SF-36v2 questionnaire

Summary/Abstract: The study attempts to apply Structural Equation Model (SEM) of the quality of life of people surveyed by means of a SF-36v2™ Health Survey, in eight aspects of health (subscales): physical functioning, role limitations due to physical problems, pain, general health perception, vitality, social functioning, mental health and role limitation due to emotional problems. The objective of the article is to identify the aspects of health, age groups and sexes and to describe them. The study verifies the following research hypotheses: H1: age groups affect the quality of life of stuttering people, and H2: their sex influences the quality of life of stuttering people. Data refer to the years 2011-2014.
