Summary/Abstract: The prospective view of socio-economic approach in our country in terms of a turbulence of social and economic environment are determinant factors of quality of life (of students in particular). In the turbulent social and economic environment, the studies on students’ quality of life and life plans are really significant. The quality of life is examined in relation to objective factors – not only the material and economic ones, but also taking into account the actual state and prospects for the future. The aim of this workis to show how the quality of life influences life plans of students in Lodz. The analysis covers the population of students of last year of their master degree in both stationary and non-stationary modes. It was realized in the first quarter of 2013 with the use of auditorium questionnaires. The empirical data gathered from the conducted research was subject to analysis using the SPPS, AMOS program. The characteristics were measuredon a nominal and ordinal scale (5-point Likert scale). The impact of quality of life on lifeplans was measured with the use of structural equation modelling. According to quality of life models presented in the literature, it was assumed that the quality of life includes:objective conditions (economic conditions, free time, social security, housing conditions, natural and social environment, health etc.) and subjective state of being (self-evaluationof general and specific life conditions recognized in terms of satisfaction), which have a major impact on plans for life.
