Summary/Abstract: Purpose - development of service companies involves the formation of entities involved in the new, atypical forms of services. These include event agencies and events. This article presents selected issues of measuring the effectiveness of the events. Design/Methodology/Approach - the article is based on an analysis of the literature, the method of analysis of sources was used. Findings- the article presents the essence of events and the principles of measuring the effectiveness of events. Originality/Value - in polish literature there is no publication of the issues making the measurement of effectiveness of events. The article explains problems of measuring the effectiveness of events from the perspective of the client and event agency, and taking into account the financial and non-financial aspect of the achievements
