AFGHANISTAN - A NEW BEGINNING, THE SHIFT TOWARDS A SAFER WORLD

Summary/Abstract: The end of 2014 means the withdrawal of international forces of security and a new beginning for Afghanistan. Completing the transition of security responsibility to Afghan security forces will be for the new authorities in Kabul both a blessing and a curse. Many of the problems during Taliban rule remained and new ones emerged during Karzai ‘s government and due to the presence of foreign troops in Afghanistan while others will surely arise after the withdrawal of the troops.
