Summary/Abstract: In a conflict, the ability to manage and control events on the battlefield and influence various situations in which they happen are the key to a successful mission. In order to accomplish such a successful mission, one needs to speed up the decision – action cycle. Integrating information technology in command structures will have a profound effect upon performing the command and control process. Commanders need timely and accurate information in order to increase their command and decision-making skills. Information technology allows exchanging, filtering, and processing an impressive quantity of digital information that is going to act as a multiplying force through which operation efficiency will increase at every level of command.
