MILITARY ENGINEERING SPECIFIC ACTIONAL AND OPERATIONAL TRANSFORMATION

Summary/Abstract: Providing military engineering support during the conduct of military operations is a complex activity and involves much knowledge and understanding of the military engineering capabilities and knowledge and understanding of how they can serve various structures. Each commander wants better organized structure, equipped with the latest and most effective means. Equally, however, he wants effective structures. Intentional repetition of the word „effective” aims at highliting it. Efficiency for military engineering structures can mean modern organizational structures, flexible, responsive to the needs of commanders, well trained military, able to operate according to clear procedures or serve in any conditions and technical equipment supplied. It can also mean all commanders’ being aware of the capabilities they have at their disposal, so that they will use them to achieve the best results in accomplishing the missions.Equally, interoperability (important goal of the Alliance) doesn’t mean only equipped with the same technical means or different structures, but it involves a series of other factors to be analyzed and used to meet the requirements of the Alliance.
