Summary/Abstract: According to NATO documents in force, the NATO Response Force (NRF) must be able to act as an expeditionary force, joint and multinational. To serve such a force, military engineering structures available to NATO must be able to perform a wide range of challenges simultaneously in combat support and technical challenges, both in terms of skills and equipment. Therefore, NATO nations, putting certain structures at the Alliance’s disposal to achieve the necessary capabilities and increase interoperability remains an important objective. If the challenges are huge for the current period, what will happen in the future? The answer comes from the document entitled „NATO’s vision and objectives in the field of military engineering for the period 2016 – 2025” and it is extremely simple: „to provide effective support engineer for NATO forces for the full range of current and future operations, giving NATO commander them the greatest freedom of action, the best value for the nation”. However, the implementation of thic answer shows Alliance’s determination to provide in the future the best „services” for member nations.
