Summary/Abstract: This article examines translation as a linguistic and cultural transfer, as a dialogue, on the one hand, in this case between Russian and Bulgarian language and culture and on the other hand, between ancient cultures and the modern times. This is shown with material from the book by the famous Russian humanist Nikolai Roerich „Seven great secrets of the Universe“ and its translation into Bulgarian, done by the article’s author.
