Summary/Abstract: Modern processes such as internationalization, globalisation or regionalization together with increasing social and ecological awareness result in new challenges emerging before organizations. The ability to live up to requirements of modern business environment includes, among others, the realization of conception of socially aware and responsible organization. The success of corporate social responsibility strategy is dependent on many economic, social, institutional and cultural factors. The purpose of this paper is to present the essence of CSR, legal conditions and normalisation of CSR and CSR data selected according to the report of the UN Global Compact.
