MODERN SOLUTIONS IN PUBLIC SERVICES EXEMPLIFIED BY CITY ELECTRONIC CARD

Summary/Abstract: Public services area is constantly growing in importance. Availability, accessibility and quality of public services increase quality of society’s life and improve regions’ competitiveness, which in turn determines their economic growth. Ensuring high level of public services involves a continuous effort to increase effectiveness of provided services and to ensure the efficient use of public funds while maintaining high and stable level of provided benefits and results. For this purpose, increasingly modern solutions based on innovation are used. An example of such solution is the Silesian Public Service Card project. The card has a chance to become a universal and widely available tool for accessing public services for residents and guests of Silesian Agglomeration.
