Summary/Abstract: The aim of the paper is to identify the determinants of the food situation in the Asia-Pacific region and to define the strength and direction of their impact. The data from the United Nations for Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) were used in the present analysis. The study, conducted with the backward stepwise regression method, showed that the share of agricultural population in general population, the agri-food trade balance per capita and the difference between the population growth and the agricultural production growth per capita have the greatest impact on the level of undernourishment in Asia-Pacific countries.
