Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article was to define the importance of ASEAN countries in the Poland’s agri-food trade and to analyse the effects of a potential liberalization of global agricultural trade for the competitive position of selected Polish agri-food products on the ASEAN market. An ex post analysis was carried out with a selected set of quantitative measures of international competitive position while forecasts were calculated with mathematical model of general equilibrium GTAP. Animal products were the most competitive on ASEAN market. GTAP projections for these products suggest that in terms of implementation of the agricultural agreement negotiated under the auspices of the WTO and of full multilateral liberalization of agri-trade these competitive advantages can be maintained and even strengthened. On the other hand, in most of Polish plant origin products market liberalization may reduce competitiveness on ASEAN market compared to status quo.
