Summary/Abstract: The paper considers the issues of using the website for city’s communication with its customers. The content of the information and the relation between the parties are very important in communication. Nowadays, internet has become an important mean of communication, providing access to vast amounts of information. Internet is a knowledge platform for many groups. The self government websites should be user friendly to everyone, regardless of their skills and knowledge. Polish cities use their websites mainly for information and publicity. The objective of the paper is the analysis and evaluation of websites of selected voivodeship cities according to specified criteria. The main areas of the research were: the availability of information, interactivity and transparency of websites.
