Summary/Abstract: The contemporary reformation in the European Union and other states in Europe has imposed desertion of mixed criminal procedure and its shift towards procedure which the court is no longer active factor, its role becomes passive and the parties will be main actors in this process. The most important characteristic of these reforms is the abolition of Investigative judge and introduction of a trial which will be conducted through a cross- examination of the parties. The Republic of Macedonia has joined toward this reform, with the adoption of the new Code of Criminal Procedure. This law has established rebuild relationship between public prosecutors and the police, and at the same time, higher authority has been assigned to the public prosecutor with respect to the prior proceedings in very close cooperation with the police. While police and other institutions with special authorities to the new law work under the direction of Public Prosecutions, nonetheless they enjoy certain autonomy in prosecuting the Police insights, independently and at their own initiative. With the new Law on Criminal Procedure is also introduced a judicial police, which is actually a criminal police, closely cooperating with the public prosecutor's office. Furthermore, public prosecutor's investigation centers have been formed and established to operate in support of the territory of one or more public prosecutions.
