Summary/Abstract: using electronics (of any type) for both the creative process and the time of performance. This trend, emerged during mid-twentieth century, is under continuous development along technology; having been placed at first within the experimental sphere, the electronic element (especially the computer) shifted to the center of the musical phenomenon, becoming indispensable for music composition, useful for performance and a mediator for reception. Throughout the history of music we find a significant number of terms assigned to different types of electronic music: musique concrète (concrete music) - which places the concept of natural sound (mostly taken from the environment) in the spotlight of the composers; acousmatic music – adjacent to concrete music, supporting the idea that music should be listened to without being disturbed by the visual; tape music - classical music using the whole arsenal of electronic elements, which later will turn (due to the evolution of technology) into the much broader concept of computer music.
