New Democracies and the Cultural Unity of Europe

Summary/Abstract: The article about the new democracies and the cultural unity of Europe ist divided in two parts: 1.The cultural conditions of the ideological dialog; 2. The christian identity of the european culture. In the first part of the article was presented a european experience of the ideological conflict, as well a problem of the defence of the dignity of man as the essence of alliance of the Church and culture. However, the second part of the article was dedicated to the religious interpretation of the european culture, as well a problem of a decadence of west-european culture. In this perspective the new democracies, which are emerged in Central-Eeast Europe after 1989 year, have a great possibilities to give a new impulse to the cultural unity of the whole Europe.
