Economic analysis of women's and men's situation in the West Pomeranian labour market - action plan for equal chances

Summary/Abstract: The aim of the following article is to use statistical methods to analyze the situation of women and man in the labour market and to choose activities enhancing equal opportunities in the labour market in the West Pomeranian region. The study was carried out according to scheme: a) selection of possible to implement practices; b) analysis and diagnosis of situation of women and men in the labour market; c) selection of good practices suitable for the region. Selection of the good practices was based on the publication of the WINNET8 partnership titled "Women's Resource Centres. Innovation and Practices for Smart, Inclusive and Sustainable Growth", which include a wide set of collected good practices. Implementation of three proposed practices (FEM - Finland, Women's Technology Centre - United Kingdom and Gävleborg Jämt - Sweden) will contribute to increase the equality of opportunities of women and men in the labour market. Thus, it will encourage the region to use better the economic potential of women what will result in less noticeable effects of economic slowdown
