Summary/Abstract: This paper deals with postmodern literary elements in the novel All The Pretty Horses, written by the American novelist Cormac McCarthy. It offers brief information about postmodern literary theory and its concerns; it explains the emergence of the western novel and its main features and it presents and explains the elements of both in the novel.
