Summary/Abstract: There is poor documentation of the dimensions of seeking treatment for infertility by gender, including participation, intensity, pattern and type of treatment outlets chosen. This study carried out in Osun State, Nigeria had the objective of exploring the various dimensions of seeking treatment for infertility by gender. 152 infertile patients purposively selected from the different infertility treatment outlets where they were currently receiving treatment responded to structured questionnaires. Data was analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. Findings of the study revealed that more women than men seek treatment for infertility because the consequences of infertility are more profound for women than men.
