Selected aspects of labour market in Polish rural areas in the period 2003-2010

Summary/Abstract: The labour market is a place of the labour force allocation, making decisions on employment, and revealing the economic and social consequences of economic growth. Particular areas of socio-economic life impact on both labour demand and labour supply. The aim of the paper is to present selected labour market issues in rural areas. The study relates to the period 2003-2010. The analyzed period was adopted deliberately because of the Polish accession to the European Union in 2004.The specificity of farm work is determined by its multifacetedness, especially by economic and social aspects as well as individual and collective dimensions. Farm work is based on effectiveness, increasing efficiency, and productivity.
