The role of the institutions of business environment in supporting the innovativeness of the SME sector

Summary/Abstract: In the article there is presented the role of the Institutions of business environment (IBE) in the development of the entrepreneurs activity by the free proinnovative services. The study presents the definitions of innovation, innovative activity and characterizes the types of the connections in the innovative process and the institutions of business environment. In the article there is discussed also the operation directed to the institutions of business environment within the scope of The Operational Programme Innovative Economy, by which there are serviced the free proinnovative services for entrepreneurs. There is presented the evaluation of the services for SME sector supported by the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development.
