Evolution of regulation in healthcare − theoretical framework of analysis

Summary/Abstract: One of the features of the healthcare sector is a common phenomenon of reforms. Models that were formerly considered as ideal are treated critically and will be changed. The analysis of the literature points to the popularity of the thesis of convergence of health systems that are moving away from their original objectives and are mutually conformed to each other. The purpose of this article is to indicate the directions of changes in regulations that apart from financing and delivering health services are a key pillar of the health systems. In this context, the theoretical framework of the analysis was created, which may be a contribution to more extended research of the degree of convergence of healthcare systems.
