Therapeutic entity in health care system in the process of systemic and legislative changes

Summary/Abstract: Several new acts important for medical facilities operation have been enacted in recent years in Poland. One of the most important changes was the resolution of the Act of 15 April 2011 on the therapeutic activity. New definitions such as therapeutic activity or entity providing medical activity, and new rules of medical facilities operation were introduced by the act. The purpose of this article is to present the principles of medical entities operation based on the new legislative regulations, among others the Act of 15 April 2011 on the therapeutic activity. In this article the types of entities providing medical activity, the conditions of the activity execution, as well as the rules of health services financing from public funds are described.
