Summary/Abstract: The paper deals with state universities students’ attitudes about the higher education reform in Serbia, initiated with the Law on Higher Education from 2005. Perceptions of the students’ duties in the new regime of the study and material resources for maintaining in the educational system have been analyzed. The above mentioned perceptions have been related to the social biographies approach, which explains the interaction between social or structural (institutions, resources, norms) and individual (resources, orientations, actions) factors in the process of creating youth’s educational biographies in Serbia. The aim of the paper is to analyze the state universities students’ perceptions of the curricula and the regime of the study reforms, as well to evaluate different aspects of that reform as an impetus or a limitation for the process of creating social biographies in the sphere of education.
