Information on saltwater springs of the Moldavian Plateau in unpublished 19th century sources

Summary/Abstract: Starting from information on a saltwater spring in the Băiceni area provided in a document dated August 1884, the article presents several unpublished 19th century archival sources, which are preserved within the National Archives - Iasi County, in which there are references to records of mineral resources in Moldavia. The article tackles the matter of the genesis of some types of saltwater and mineral springs, their occurrence in the Moldavian Plateau and the possibility of the exploitation of such resources in prehistory.
