Summary/Abstract: Contemporary maritime challenges have diversified and multiplied beyond the narrow military environment, becoming more diverse, complex, unpredictable, and interconnected. Maritime threats are not problematic only in terms of naval power and domination, but also in terms of economic welfare, environmental protection, and integrity of our society. Based on these realities, this article addresses the new landscape of threats and risks in terms of rethinking Euro-Atlantic maritime operational concepts and necessity of strengthening multilateral cooperation in this field.
