Summary/Abstract: The term competence has multiple meanings; its meanings refer to the area and context in which they are used. It is necessary to view competence from a multitude of perspectives: the judicial perspective, the professional development perspective, but also from the psycho-socio-pedagogical perspective. The meaning and significance of the concept of competence, from the contemporary problematic perspective of education, originated from N. Chomsky.
