Summary/Abstract: The main reason for a company to be quoted on the stock market is to raise capital for further expansion, but the public quotation also determines the image of the company, which in turn has an impact on its share price. Companies are increasingly willing to use public offering as a source of capital. However, in order to achieve a reasonable profit companies should initiate intensive public relations activities to ensure their corporate image encourages and persuades to buy shares. Despite the strong financial performance of the company, lack of image management may lead to an undervalued stock price and, as a result, the book value may exceed the price of issued shares. Therefore, the aim of this article is to answer the question how the company image determines its stock prices. The study presents the theory of image management as well as the analysis of share prices of selected companies traded on the stock market and their image.
