The impact of the monetary and fiscal authorities (policy mix) on the functioning of enterprises in Poland

Summary/Abstract: This article aims to highlight the importance of the decisions of the economic authorities for the functioning of enterprises in Poland with particular emphasis on recent economic slowdown. To achieve this objective, the following methods were used: a literature review, statistical research methods and graphical presentation of phenomena. The study analyzes the impact of the economic authorities on the basic macroeconomic indicators and the impact of these indicators on the selected financial results of enterprises primarily in the exceptional circumstances of the financial crisis. The results of the analysis indicate the importance of the monetary and fiscal authorities for the functioning of enterprises in Poland in the years 2000−2014. However, during the economic downturns more coordinated economic decisions of the authorities are expected to stimulate the economy.
