Summary/Abstract: This article presents the concept of Economic Value Added EVA. The calculation of EVA is important to properly estimate the weighted average cost of capital. For a variety of options assumed for estimating the cost of equity and cost of debt can get a variety of its value. The article shows how to configure the value of EVA can be for some mining companies under different assumptions regarding the cost of capital.
