The analysis of net banking income quoting the example of selected commercial banks

Summary/Abstract: As institutions of public trust, banks have to accomplish a number of goals. The most significant is to generate profit. This state of affairs stems from a strategy followed by banks in line with which they are to raise capital and allocate it in profit-making banking products. Therefore, banks earn their net income from deposit and credit activity. It is in the centre of their attention since their functioning and development depend on credibility which they have established mainly due to efficient use of capital they have at their disposal. The article presents a multi-dimensional analysis of the level and structure of net banking income generated by selected commercial banks during the period 2009—2012.
