Lean management as an innovation management in hospital

Summary/Abstract: Lean management, understood as specific philosophy of business management, concern on resource waste elimination. This is achieved through proper organization of the process for creating product for customer, which allows to eliminate activities that not create this value. As a result there is a reduction of the product delivery time, health care services quality increase, as well as customer satisfaction. There is also appropriate order in processes and reduction in resource consumption. Lean was dedicated for manufacturing companies, but its application in services companies is still growing. According to current financial situation of hospitals, increasing demands of patients, competition and access to funding sources, possibility for its use in health care is considerable.
