E-learning in the context of creating value for a student

Summary/Abstract: The article treats about the results of the changes which appeared on the higher education market in Poland. Introduction of marketing rules into the higher school management caused that education is shown as a product. The universities have to respond to the students' needs and design educational product all the time. The one of the main problems discussed in the article is treating present and potential students as clients. The author emphasizes the difference between a client and a customer on the HE market. The article raises also the issue of value creation for students. The main purpose of the paper is to explore the types of value given to students, especially created by introduction e-learning.
