Summary/Abstract: The aim of this paper is to offer a method for calculating attractiveness index of conference meetings and business events. Literature studies on business tourism market and the analysis of changes happening in Katowice allowed the author to present variables recommended for the index and using the method of aggregation of the ratings scaled variables. The results obtained by this method were allocated at intervals of class. It seems that the method can be used by the administration of the destinations in the assessment of attractiveness of conferences.
