Summary/Abstract: School culture implies a system of numerous elements determining the behavior of employees, common values being its core part. They are most often described through four facets (factors) of culture, which are: support, innovation, objectives and rules. Each of the facets, according to the theory of rival values, has its opposing value. By comparing the research results with the said theoretical model, one observes that partial correlations between diagonal facets of school cultures are somewhat lower, while lateral facets have two pairs: one with higher the other with lower values than the theoretical ones. The biggest difference between schools is in the degree of emphasis of these values. All the values having lower, but even higher emphasis in schools, need to be reshaped creating in this way new culture profiles that would most suit the new situations in which schools find themselves.
