Summary/Abstract: Keeping adaptation measures to climate change, both in order to adapt to the new climatic conditions, as well as those aimed at the suppression of progressive change, has become an important global issue. These measures are a priority in the policy of many countries. The article presents the structural changes in the labor market, which are the result of its activities to climate change prevention. To emphasize the significance of the issue, such adjustments as the initiatives taken by the European Commission and the main tasks of organizations which priority action is to correct the negative effects of climate change have been presented. The main element of preventive measures to climate change is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The creation of new environment-friendly technologies, such as renewable energy sources, allows to generate new green jobs.
