Theoretical, cognitive and methodological problems of accumulation and utilization of information in the realization of local sus- tainable development strategy (on the example chosen of Lower Silesia, Lubuska Province and Wielkopolska communities)

Summary/Abstract: The author presented the results of analysis of quality of community datasets, which are necessary in the realization of local sustainable development strategies. He discussed the ways of their creation and utilization, especially in frames of local information policy. The research concerned 87 communities of Lower Silesia, Lubuska Province and Wielkopolska. Critical analysis of these cases permitted to formulate some conclusions and recommendations. The author characterized local development strategies. He presented the opinions of quality of used information collection as well as its usefulness. He presented cognitive and methodological challenges of local informative processes and discussed the problem of credibility of data, information and coefficients used in local development strategies. He estimated local information policies in studied communities.
