Investment attractiveness of regions – selected problems

Summary/Abstract: The article discusses selected problems referring to investment attractiveness of regions. The introduction presents theoretical aspects and investment attractiveness determinants. Next the part of report by The Institute for Market Economics, referring to investment attractiveness of regions, is characterized as well as the reports obtained from Polish Information and Foreign Investments Agency. The examples of determinant sets for regional investments attractiveness are also presented, including these from a foreign investor’s point of view. Basic set of determinants was divided into five thematic groups of factors: economic, social-cultural, political and administration quality, technological-innovative, natural and image oriented.
