Summary/Abstract: Through this study, I tried to identify the meaning of suffering in human life, as a direct outcome of falling in the original sin of Adam and Eve. Iov is the scriptural model of the Old Testament by assuming the suffering, belief and the unconditional love towards God. Once, with the coming of Christ, Who assumed the suffering for the sins of mankind, suffering got another meaning. In this regard Christianity when related to the notion of suffering, has associated this example to that of Christ. Each person must assume the suffering as Christ, which offers another life's perspective, in a positive sense. So, the assumed suffering, becomes a noble one. From that moment, the suffering gets a meaning and becomes tolerable. From this study, I can affirm that in time of suffering, the most important thing is keeping the belief in God and assuming the suffering, as Iov in Old Testament and The Saviour Christ did.
