Rural space from the knowledge and the experience point of view

Summary/Abstract: The “Europe 2020” strategy introduces the concept of “smart growth” in response to the effects of financial crisis and the challenges of globalisation. Priority will be given to development based on knowledge and innovation (smart growth), balanced sustainable growth, and this will be consistent with social, economic and territorial (inclusive growth) criteria. The author evaluates development opportunities and the advantages of the Polish countryside based on these premises. She focuses on a new approach that integrates the dimensions of space with aspects of knowledge and experience. This indicates a return to cultural assets and their inspiration for the concept of smart growth.Strategia „Europa 2020” wprowadza pojęcie inteligentnego rozwoju jako odpowiedź na skutki kryzysu i wyzwania globalizacji. Priorytetem ma być rozwój oparty na wiedzy i innowacjach (smart growth), zrównoważony (sustainable growth) i spójny w wymiarach: społecznym, gospodarczym i terytorialnym (inclusive growth). Wychodząc od tych przesłanek, autorka ocenia szanse rozwojowe i przewagi polskiej wsi. Skupia się na nowym podejściu integrującym wymiary badań przestrzeni w aspektach wiedzy i doświadczenia. Wskazuje na atuty zwrotu kulturowego w humanistyce i jego inspiracje dla koncepcji inteligentnego rozwoju.
