Summary/Abstract: Since 2012, a description of the syntactic and semantic properties of selected Polish and Russian lexical units – the equivalents of Czech lexical units that have been compiled in the Valency Lexicon of Czech Verbs (Lopatková, Kettnerová, Žabokrtský 2008) – is being processed. The selection of lexical units is based on the verb’s ability to form constructions of different types. In the article, emphasis is put on detailed research of one particular type – the structural splitting of a situational participant, in this case the participant INCENTIVE, with verbs of perception. The Czech verb cítit and its Polish and Russian equivalents are very interesting from the comparative semantic point of view. Seven pairs of alternating frames with different syntactic and semantic properties can be defined, with each pair containing a different number of verbs in the single languages. Examples are taken from Czech, Russian and Polish national corpora and from some parallel corpora.
