Summary/Abstract: The Dormition of Cyril is one of the foremost Slavonic Cyrillo-Methodian sources. Traditionally it is assumed that 8 or 9 copies of the Dormition have been preserved. Although the textual tradition of the Dormition of Cyril is deemed to be rather well-studied, some of its copies have been published only partially, some have been used just for variae lectiones and some are only known as bibliographical items. The purpose of the study is to draw the attention to a fragment of the Dormition of Cyril, the existence of which has sometimes been doubted, i.e. the text in the ms. № 98 from the A. Petrushevych collection in the Lviv Vasyl Stefanyk National Scientific Library of the Ukrainian Academy of Science. In the BAS Scientific Archive (collection V) there are three different archeographic items preserving photocopies of the Dormition of Cyril. Their comparison with the description of the manuscript reveals that they are copies of this very same fragment of the Dormition. The article is supplemented by the photocopies and an edition of the deciphered text of the fragment.
