Legal opinion on the government bill on public health (Sejm Paper No 3675)

Summary/Abstract: The initiative to draw up a Public Health Act deserves support. This draft rightly aims to complement the normative basis of disease treatment with normative basis of preventive medicine. The bill, however, requires further work on: clarifying the title of the Act and its scope and extent, the competence of the minister responsible for health, determine the statutory framework for a National Health Program, public health policy on the international and EU level.
