Summary/Abstract: The subject of the paper is to determine interlingual equivalency relations between ‘antonym’ proverbs in Croatian and German. We recon on equivalency typology, elaborated by contrastive phraseology and typology of antonyms from the aspect of the lexeme structure. We used Contrastive vocabulary of proverbs by Pavao Mikić and Danica Škara in defining the corpus. According to the expectations partial equivalents are shown more often than the explicit, complex antonyms were found in one example.
