The mechanism of improving the quality management system ISO 9001

Summary/Abstract: The paper presents the proposal of distinguishing three mechanisms of improving the quality management system. They all are based on ISO 9001 standard requirements. The first one is the corrective mechanism dealing with adjusting the way of performing actions to standard procedures. It is mostly based on corrective and preventive action. The second one focuses on implementing changes allowing to achieve goals (e.g. quality objectives) in a more successful and efficient way. The last mechanism is referred to as a management one. It modifies the principles e.g. quality objectives, procedures etc. Its key part is the management review.
